These laterals have a total length of

25 miles and initial capacities ranging from 1 to 7 cfs.

Construction facilities

The Grand Valley field station was constructed in 1980 as part of

Stage One and would be used a. construction headquarters for Stage Two.

The field station is located near the midpoint of the middle Government

Highline Canal and is centrally situated in relation to the valley's

irrigation facilities.

The field station includes an office and laboratory building, paved

parking lot, wareyard, and sewage disposal system. The building, parking

lot, and wareyard are surrounded by a 6-foot chain link fence. A metal

storage building and associated wareyard are located adjacent to the field

office and are also fenced with 6-foot chain link. These facilities are

used to store supplies, drilling, and other equipment and materials.

Service facilities used for Stage One would also be suitable for

Stage Two development.

Some replacement of facilities and equipment

would be required as the construction period progressed; and it is

assumed that because of the long construction period) this equipment

would have no salvage value.

41
