<br />(:.) <br />o <br />Con <br />o <br /> <br />Status <br /> <br />o mixer and rake speeds, <br />o sludge blow down requirements, <br />o chlorine dosage, <br />o filter backwash rate, <br />o run time to backwash, <br />o shakedown of instrumentation and data acquisition system, and <br />o proof test of desalting units to develop start-up and steady-state operating <br />data, <br /> <br />Membranes were loaded in the Test Plant, and the first desalted water was produced <br />in November 1989. <br /> <br />The n.4-million-gallons-per-day Ywna Desalting Plant is essentially complete, <br />The plant began delivering recovered water to the Colorado River on May 7, 1992 <br />at an initial rate of 8 million gallons of water per day. <br /> <br />Plans are to bring the plant up to one-third capacity (approximately 22 million <br />gallons per day) by early summer 1992. In the future the Ywna Desalting Plant will <br />operate on a production schedule as detennined necessary by the Secretary of the <br />Interior. <br /> <br />5 <br />
