Its ulti- <br />mate cost will be in excess of $400,000,000, It is being paid for entirely by the people of <br />these California cities. <br /> <br />COLORADO RIVER AQUEDUCT <br /> <br />The Colorado River Aqueduct is the longest and largest domestic water supply line <br />in the United States. It has its intake on the Colorado River two miles upstream from <br />Parker Dam and extends westward across the State of California. Its total length, including <br />the main line and its delivery lines, is 556 miles, It will have the ultimate capacity to <br />deliver 1,212,000 acre-feet of water annually, or more than a billion gallons of water <br />per day.
