The Westwater

criterion and M&I deliveries are the same as in Scenario 3, and no direct

flow priority for instream flow purposes is assumed. This scenario shows

the effect of supporting a 600 cfs boating flow over a 4 month season with

just Blue Mesa storage releases.

Scenario 6: In this scenario a 600 cfs direct flow water right for

boating purposes from June to September is assumed to have priority over

jur,ior power diversions at the Gurrnisor. Tunnel. A 300 cfs direct flow

water right for fishery purposes is assumed in all othe,' mor, ths, alor,g

with Blue Mesa storage releases keyed to instream flows of 600 cfs during

the boating season, and 300 cfs during the rest of the year. This

scenario addresses the effect of combining direct flow water rights for

both trout (300 cfs) and boating (another 300 cfs) purposes in the Black

Canyon with Blue Mesa storage releases. The Westwater and M&I assumptior.s

remain the same.

B.

Sensitivity Tests

The sensitivity of Scenario 5 to three variables was tested in the

following additional scenarios. Scenario 5 was tested because, among the

primary scenarios, it places the greatest stress on Blue Mesa operations.

WBLA, Inc. 1909 Broadway, #3, Boulder, Colorado 80302
