The storage water would be used <br /> <br />for municipal, light industrial, agricultural, recreational, and fishery <br /> <br />purposes. Nearly 400,000 people, including farmers, urban water users, <br /> <br />fishermen, and outdoor recreationists would receive benefits from the project <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />purposes listed above. There are no significant safety problems associated <br /> <br />with the project nor any significant unmitigated environmental issues. <br /> <br />The Tri-County Water Conservancy District Repayment Contract was <br /> <br />signed on January 14, 1977, and the District is in the process of completing <br /> <br />contracts with municipalities for the purchase of municipal and industrial <br /> <br />water. The Uncompahgre Valley Water Users passed a resolution to purchase <br /> <br />project irrigation water and a contract is forthcomming.
