The cost effectiveness numbers <br />based on seepage rate, salt loading rate, and phreatophyte <br />consumption in the center of their respective ranges were taken <br />as most representative of what could be expected from canal and <br />lateral lining. The range of cost effectiveness values derived <br />from this analysis was above the $100 per ton ceiling for viable <br />alternatives, indicating further investigation was not warranted. <br /> <br />Cost effectiveness values for lining the Hay Lateral were <br />recalculated using a range of seepage rates, salt loading rates, <br />and phreatophyte consumption.
