<br />CL~ <br /> <br />C"') <br />00 <br /> <br />(_.- <br /> <br />CJ <br />C) <br /> <br />In view of the above, in accordance with the record on file <br /> <br />in the County Clerk's Office, in 1927 Mesa County District became <br /> <br />subject to the Law of 1921. <br /> <br />Section 37-42-139(1) of the Law of 1921 provides as follows: <br /> <br />A plan for the dissolution of any irrigation district <br />organized under this article may be submi-tted to the <br />landowners at a special election held for that purpose. Such <br />plan must provide for the payment of all district debts and <br />liabilities and the disposition of district assets. If the <br />landowners authorize such dissolution by an affirmative vote <br />of a majority of the entire voting strength of the distt'ict, <br />the directors shall proceed to carry out 1:he plan so <br />authorized, and upon the accomplishment thereof shall file <br />their certificate of such fact with the county clerk and <br />recorder of each county wherein any part of said district is <br />situated, and also with the irrigation district commission. <br /> <br />The plan of dissolution approved by the voters of the <br /> <br />District provided for the conveyance and transfer of the assets of <br /> <br />the District to the United States. These asset:s consisted of the <br /> <br />following: <br /> <br />Real Property <br /> <br />Interest "in dam, 88/188 portion <br />Pumping plant <br />Right of way, 84 acres <br />Canal system (Stub Ditch) <br />Irrigation water, 40 sec. ft. <br /> <br />Chattel Property <br /> <br />Electric pump (Hickman) <br />6 Slip scrapers (new) <br />4 Headgates <br />Small tools <br /> <br />Copies of correspondence and documents in the records of the <br /> <br />Grand Junction Projects Office of the Bureau of Reclamation (the <br /> <br />-14- <br />
