<br />3()')n <br />Q-,} <br /> <br />OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE <br /> <br />27 <br /> <br />Corona Del Mar in the City of Newport Beach, At this point the <br />supply line of the Laguna Beach County Water District is connected <br />and supplies service to part of the Coastal Municipal Water Dis- <br />trict lying south-easterly of Corona Del Mar, The Orange County <br />Feeder varies in diameter from 42 to 36 inches, having a designed <br />capacity of 57 cubic feet per second to the City of Fullerton, 32 cubic <br />feet per second between the cities of Fullerton and Santa Ana and <br />15 cubic feet per second south of Santa Ana, There is a 200 acre- <br />foot capacity storage and regulating reservoir located at Brea and <br />a 20 acre-foot regulating reservoir at Corona Del Mar. Besides serv- <br />ing the cities of Fullerton, Anaheim and Santa Ana and the Coastal <br />~funicipal Water District, constituent members of the District, con, <br />nections furnish service to the Orange County Municipal Water <br />District, <br /> <br />The West Orange Count)' Feeder connects to the Orange County <br />Feeder at Lewis Street and Katella Avenue, southerly of the City of <br />Anaheim, and extends west and north 8,7 miles to Dale Street in the <br />City of Buena Park. The extension, 4,3 miles long, lies between <br />Buena Park and the connection to the Lower Feeder at Imperial <br />Highway near the easterly boundary of Los Angeles County, The <br />West Orange County Feeder is 42 inches in diameter and has a de- <br />signed capacity of 50 cubic feet per second, The West O.'ange <br />Countv Feeder Extension is 55 inches in diameter and has a de- <br />signed capacity of 100 cubic feet per second from the Lower Feeder <br />to Buena Park and 75 cubic feet per second from Buena Park to <br />Katella Avenue portion of the West Orange County Feeder, <br /> <br />Interconnections of the Orange County Feeder and the West <br />Orange County Feeder with the Lower Feeder have permitted aug- <br />menting the flow in the Orange County Feeder hath north of Fuller- <br />ton and south of Anaheim, <br /> <br />Middle Feede,' <br /> <br />The Middle Feeder starts at La Verne and extends southerlv 37 <br />miles to Victoria Street in unincoq1Orated territory of Los Angeles <br />County, south of the City of Compton. The pipe line is 72 inches in <br />diameter and has a designed capacity of 250 cubic feet per second, <br />Located in the City of Monterev Park on the Middle Feeder is the <br />Garvey Reservoir ;vith storage capac-ity of 1.500 acre-feet. <br /> <br />There are three cross-connections between the Middle Feeder and <br />the Palos Verdes Feeder, namely; the 60-inch din meter, 5,9 mile <br />long, Garvey Ascot Cross Feeder; the 79-inch diameter. 6,8 mile <br />long, Middle Cross Feeder; and the 54-inch diameter, 4,0 mile long, <br />Victoria Street-223rd Street Cross Feeder, These cross connections <br />from the Middle Feeder augment the supply of water available to <br />the southern and western constituent areas of Los Angeles County, <br />The intereonnection between the Middle Feeder and the Lower <br />Feeder enables the District to deliver softened water to the western <br />Ilortion of Oranj!e County Municipal Water District through the <br />Middle Feeder, the westerly portion of the Lower Feeder and the <br />
