. . / ....' - 3- (5) The jurisdiction of the State of CoLorado over the waters of the segment designated hereinafter will not impair, but will protect, the scenic, recrearional, fish and wildlif~ values of said segment. (b) PURPOSE. -- The purpose of this Act is to designate a 131,000 acre land and water resource as the "Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park Complex," and to provide for the establishment of a formal comprehensive and coordinated interagency management framework for the protecti()n of the natural resources and enhancement of the public use and enjoyment of each unit of the complex. TITLE I -- BLACK CANYON OF THE GUNNISON NATIONAL PARK COMPLEX SECTION 101. ESTABLISHMENT AND ADMINISTRATION. (a) ESTABLISHMENT. -- There is hereby established as a unit of the National Park System (except as provided in paragraph (b)) in the State of Colorado, the "Black Canyon of the Gunnison National PA.rk" Complex (hereinafter in this Act referred to as the "Park Complex"). (b) AREAS INCLUDED. -- The Park Complex shall consist of the approximately 131,00 acres of lands, waters and interests therein generally depicted on the map entitled "Proposed Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park Complex," numbered 144 and dated November, 1985. The Park Complex shall he comprised of the "Illack Canyon of the Gunnison National Park". the "Curecanti National Recreation Area", and the "Lower Gunnison Wild and Scenic River." Also included as a unit of the Park Complex (but not included as part of the National Park System) shall he the unit hereinafter designated as the "Gunnison Gorge National Recreation Area." Each unit is designated hereinafter in this Act. The map shall he on file and available for public inspection in the Office of the Director, National Park Service; and Direct()r, Hureau of Land Management, Department of the Interior. (c) LEGAL DESCRIPTION AND MAP. -- Not later than six months after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary of the Interior (hereinafter in this Act referred to as the "Secretary") shall file a legal description and map of the boundary with the Committee on Interior and Insular Affairs of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources of the United States Senate. Such legal description shall have the same force and effect as if included in this Act, except that corrections of clerical and typographical errors in such legal description (and in the map referred to in subsection (b) may be made. Such legal descriptions shall be on file and available for public inspection in the office of the Director, National Park Service; and Director, Bureau of Land Management, Department of the Interior.
