(a) ESTABLISHMENT. -- There is hereby established the Gunnison Gorge National Recreation Area. The Gunnison Gorge National Recreation Area shall consist of appro~imately 70,450 acres of the lands, waters, and interests therein, and improvements thereon within the area generally depicted as the "Gunnison Gorge National Recreation Area" on the map referred to in section 101 (b) of this Act. (b) ADMINISTRATION.-- (1) IN GENERAL. -- The Secretary, acting through the Director, Bureau of Land Management, shall administer, protect, and develop the Recreation Area in accordance with the purposes outlined in section 101(d) of this Act and the Act of October 21, 1976 (90 Stat. 2744; 43 U.S.G. 1701) as amended. (2) SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES. -- In administering the Gunnison Gorge National Recreation Area, in addition to other related activities that may be permitted hereunder, the Secretary may provide for the following activities, subject to such limitations, conditions, or regulations as he may prescribe, and to such extent as will not be inconsistent with either the recreational and resource protection purposes of this Act: (A) Motorized and off road vehicle use in designated areas. (B) Livestock grazing and support facilities. (G) Road and utility rights-of-way, including access to private inholdings. (D) All pre-e~isting and historic uses, including cattle drive and other trails. (E) General recreation uses, such as swimming, boating, horseback riding, camping, picnicking. (F) Such other uses as the Secretary may deem appropriate.
