<br />SALINITY CONTROL ACTIONS <br /> <br />'N <br />c...> <br />(C <br />(C <br /> <br />1978 Revision - Colorado River Salinity Standards <br /> <br />In response to Section 303 of the Clean Water Act of <br /> <br /> <br />1977, the Forum prepared revisions to the 1975 salinity <br /> <br /> <br />standards. Two regional public meetings were held by the <br /> <br /> <br />Forum in November 1978, to receive public comment on the <br /> <br /> <br />proposed revision. A supplement was prepared based on the <br /> <br />statements received at and subsequent to the hearings. <br /> <br />On December 18, 1978, the Forum approved the 1978 <br /> <br /> <br />Revision and Supplement and forwarded the report to the <br /> <br /> <br />Basin states with the recommendation for adoption by the <br /> <br /> <br />states as their 1978 revision to the Colorado River salinity <br /> <br /> <br />standards. <br /> <br />The adoption process by the individual states is in <br /> <br />progress.
