DENVER AREA LAKES INVENrORIED

More than 160 lakes in the Greater Denver Area are inventoried
on a map just published by the U. S. Geological Survey as a part of
its hydrolog!e study of the Front Range Urban Corridor Study.

Physieal, ehemicaJ., and biologieaJ. data inelude such measurements
as area, per:lllleter, conductanee, pH, and transparency for all but the
smallest lakes and reservoirs. Algae coneentrations and bacteriological
information are indicated for larger lakes and for those used for
reereation.

Two other hydrologie maps of the Boulder-Fort Collins-Greeley area
have also reeently been published -- one showing flood-prone areas
and one listing available hydrologic data.

The maps, as follows, can be purchased at the Map Sales Office,
Building 41, Federal Center, Lakewood, Colorado 80225:
