The FEMA/State/Local Hazard Mitigation Coordinators will also
use this report as guidance to implement the requirements of
Section 406, P.L. 93-288. An explanation of Section 406 is
in Appendix A.

The Interagency Hazard Mitigation team wishes to acknowledge
the "Colorado River Basin---Hoover Dam Review of Flood Control
Regulation Final Report'" of July 1982 compiled by the u.S.
Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles District, and the Bureau
of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Region, as a valuable source
