Effects of Rate Changes (Eastern Division) <br />The following bar graphs indicate the estimated effect of the <br /> <br />proposed new rate on a representative group of Eastern Division <br /> <br />Power customers and the estimated effect of the proposed new <br /> <br />rate on representative rural and residential customers. A <br /> <br />brief explanation of each graph follows: <br /> <br />l. Wholesale Firm Power Customers <br /> <br />The bar graph titled "Percent Annual Increased .Charge to <br /> <br />Representative Wholesale Customers--Proposed New 1974 <br /> <br />Firm Power Rate" indicates the estimated effect of the <br /> <br />proposed rate increase (in percent) on several represen- <br /> <br />tative wholesale customers. The proposed increase would <br /> <br />affect individual custowers differently bec.ause of varia- <br /> <br />tions in load characteristics and discount conditions. The <br /> <br />new rate has not been tested for all 240 customers. Those <br /> <br />shown on the bar graph are a selected representative group, <br /> <br />accounting for about 39.0 percent of our CY 1972 kwh sales. <br /> <br />Each customer can check the effect of the new rate on his <br /> <br />power costs by applying the new rate to purchases shown on <br /> <br />past power bills. <br /> <br />34 <br />
