Because of this scheduling, <br /> <br />financial assistance to irrigation from hydroelectric power <br /> <br />revenues does not affect hydroelectric power rates. <br /> <br />In 1954, the Colorado-Big Thompson, Kendrick, Shoshone, Riverton, <br /> <br />and North Platte (in 1959) Projects were integrated into the <br />Western Division of the Pick-Sloan Missouri Basin Program. <br /> <br />Basically, the integration combined the five projects' power- <br /> <br />plants and transmission systems for operational, marketing, <br /> <br />and repayment purposes. <br /> <br />2. Interest Expense <br /> <br />Rates of interest applicable to the interest-bearing com- <br /> <br />mercial power investment are as stated in the "Garrison <br /> <br />Diversion Bill - Public Law 89-l08, 89th Congress, H.R. <br />237, August 5, 1965." <br /> <br />a. Investments in existing facilities constructed <br /> <br />by the Corps of Engineers and Bureau of Reclamation, <br /> <br />alike, would be charged 3 percent interest from the <br /> <br />date of investment to June 30, 1965. <br /> <br />b. From and after July 1, 1965, the interest rate <br /> <br />on the unamortized balance of the investment allocated <br /> <br />to commercial power in facilities constructed or under <br /> <br />25 <br />
