A general discussion was had on the critical nature <br />of this situation, and President Nichols advised he would keep the Board fully <br />informed as to progress on the matter. <br /> <br />~ ' <br /> <br />LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE <br /> <br />Chairman Dilley stated that all members of the Board of Directors had received re- <br />gular reports on Water Legislation from the General Manager, and the Second Regular <br />Session of the 46th General Assembly passed only 2 Water Bills, namely Senate Bills <br />37 and 40. He reported that $160, 000 was appropriated for the completion of studies <br />under Senate Bill 407. President Nichols said he had received a number of letters <br />from Legislators complimenting the Southeastern Colorado Water Conservancy Dis- <br />trict on its work during this Session of the Legislature. <br /> <br />RIVER ADMINISTRATION AND EDUCATION COMMITTEE <br /> <br />, <br />Chairman Wagner stated he feels the Annual Report will be an excellent addition to the <br />printed material being made available by the District, and advised that if necessary, <br />his Committee would meet with the Manager and representatives from the Engineering <br />Committee to review the material presented by the Division Engineer. <br /> <br />FUTURE MEETINGS, <br /> <br />President Nichols advised that a regular meeting of the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board will be held in Denver, on Wednesday, March 27, and a meeting of the Execu- <br />tive Committee of the Colorado Water Congress will be held on the same day. <br /> <br />There being nothing further to come before the meeting it was regularly adjourned at <br />2:50 p. m. <br /> <br />Respectfully, , <br /> <br />i, <br /> <br />Charles L.
