ARTICLE I II

As used In this compact:

A. The word "statel ine" means the geographical boundary 1 ine
between Colorado and Kansas.

B. The term "wdters of the. Arkansas rlver" medns the waters
originatlng in the ndtural drainage bdsln of the ArKanSdS river,
lnclud1ng its tributar1es. u~stream from the state] ine, and excluding
waters brought into the Arkansas river basin from other river bas1ns.

C. The term '.stateline flow" medns the flow of waters of the
Arkansas river as determined Oy gauging stations located at or near
the stateline. The flow dS determined by such stations. whether
located in ColoradO or Kansas, shall be deemed to be the actual
statel ine flow.
