Most of the ditch <br />companies in Water District 17 and some in Water District 67 <br />filed statements of opposition. Since that time, the appli- <br />cation has been pending, and several meetings have been held <br />with representatives of the Catlin Canal Company and the <br />other objecting ditch companies. <br /> <br />When this water transfer is allowed by the Court, the final <br />step in the creation of the permanent pool will be the pre- <br />sentation of the operation plan to the Arkansas River Compact <br />Administration; the Chief of Engineers, U.S. Army; the State <br />Engineer; and the Colorado Water Conservation Board for approval. <br />Each of these must be satisfied before the permanent pool can <br />be established. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />-8- <br />
