The <br />obligation to supply the minimum streamflow as set forth in the above <br />table on t.he Roarin~ Fork River shall, to the extent of 3,000 acre-feet <br />anuually, be a project obligation to be supplied from any waters <br />diYeI1ed from the south tributaries of Hunter Creek, Lime Creek, Last <br />Chance Creek, or any of them. <br />The Twin Lakes Resermir & Canal Co. shall not be reqnired to <br />refrain from divprting wat.eT unde.r it.s exist.ing decrees from the <br />Roaring Fork River except to the extent that a like quantity of replace- <br />ment water is furnished to said company without charge therefor <br />through and by means of projec.t diversions and storaO'e. <br />If~ by reason of storage capacit.y in the Ruedi Reservoir, or any <br />reservoir constructed in addition thereto, the Twin Lakes Reservoir & <br />Canrd Co. derives additional water or other benefits or advantages it <br />would not have realizerl had this proje~t not heen const.rncted, then <br />nothing herein l'ontailled sll<tll prevent t.he project from making ap- <br />propriate charges for snch water or other benefits or advantag-es. . All <br />l'm'eJll1es derived from the use of water stored in Ashcroft Reservior <br />shall be used to assist in the repayment of the construction, operation, <br />and maintenance costs of that re_servoir, or any reservior constructed <br />in lieu thereof, as may be determined by the Secretary of the Interi01'. <br />.12. All lands acquired and held for project constrnction and opera, <br />tion and water surfaces of project reservoirs will be open to the public <br />for recreational purposes, excepting those areas reserved by the operat. <br />iag agency. <br />13. The project will he operated in such a manner t.hat those in <br />eastern Colorado using project wate.r imported from the Colorado <br />Riyer Basin for domestic purposes shall have preference over those <br />claiming- or using water for any other purposes. <br />14. The project. is to be operat.ed in such a malineI' as to secure the <br />greatest benefit from the use and reuse of imported project waters <br />within project boundaries in the State of Colorado. <br />IJ. An.)' and all benefits and rights of western Colorado water nsers <br />in and to water st.ored in Green 1\.lounrain Heservoir, as descrilHld and <br />defined in Senate Document 80, 75th Congress, 1st session, shall not be' <br />impaired or diminished hy this project. . <br />16. The project, its operation, maint.enance, and use, shall be subje,ct. <br />to the provisions of the Upper Colorado River Basin compact of Oct.o- <br />
