This type of station is one at which daily samples <br />Are taken from the stream. Analysis of daily samples is made by <br />making a composite sample of 10 consecutive days or less. The <br />composite sample is prepared by mixing the individual daily samples <br />in proportion to the instantaneous or mean daily discharge at the <br />time the sample was taken, rather than the mixing of equal parts of <br />the individual samples. <br /> <br />No Type "A" sampling stations are requested for Fiscal Year 1973. <br /> <br />"Sampling Type B." A Type B station is for periodic sampling. <br />Samples of this type should be taken by the hydrographer each time <br />he visits the station to make a discharge measurement. All samples <br />obtained should not be analyzed.
