<br />The Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS)
<br />allotted two million dollars of FY 1980 Agricultural Conservation
<br />Program funds to accelerate application of salinity control measures
<br />in the Uintah Basin. ASCS has selected several target areas in which
<br />to concentrate these funds. A monitoring program is being developed
<br />to measure impacts of the program on water conservation and water
<br />qua 1 i ty.
<br />
<br />The word "project", a s used throughout the report, is meant to be the
<br />sal i ni ty control program. For exampl e, "future wi thout a proj ect"
<br />means future conditions without the salinity control program.
<br />
<br />All references to U.S. Bureau of Reclamation (USBR) throughout the
<br />report will be understood to mean Water and Power Resources Service
<br />(WPRS).
<br />
<br />The narrative of the report is not being revised to incorporate these
<br />items except for the Summary (pages 1 and 2), page 4, and page 44.
<br />Pertinent tables are replaced to revise the necessary data.
