A definite plan report
was completed in 1976 outlining the remainder of development on Smiths Fork.
Construction is underway on Stateline Dam with storage and depletion of
4,000 additional acre-feet by 1980 (construction schedule, May 1977).

Cheyenne-Laramie Diversion

This diversion is presently estimated at 8,000 acre-feet with increase of
2,000 acre-feet by 1980. Project works can be expanded to export 31,000
acre-feet.

Seedskadee Prciect

(a) National Wildlife Refuge. The project plan allowed 20,000 acre-
feet of consumptive use for development of the Seedskadee National Wildlife
Refuge. About 6,000 acre-feet development has occurred to date.

(b) ~7oming Contract--1962. By contract of June 14, 1962, the State
of wyoming purchased 60,000 acre-feet of capacity in Fontenelle Reservoir.
The United States notified the State that the yield from the 60,000 acre-
feet capacity would be available on January 1, 1969. The State optioned
25,000 acre-feet to Sun Oil Company and 35,000 acre-feet to the Pacific Power
and Light Company with 25,000 as firm supply and 10,000 acre-feet when
available.

(1) Pacific Power and Light Co. PP&L is presently operating and
constructing the Jim Bridger thermal electric plant east of Rock Springs.
Four units of 500 MW each are planned with the first unit placed in service
in 1974, the second unit in 1975, and the third in 1976. One additional unit
is scheduled for operation in 1979.

(2) Sun Oil. This water is optioned until 1978 for possible use
by Sun Oil on coal reserves near Rock Springs. We are not aware of specific
plans for development before 1980.

A second contract has been negotiated with the State of Wyoming which would
yield 125,000 acre-feet additional for Wyoming's use. Also 135,000 acre-
feet would be reserved for use of the United States. With 109,000 marketable
below the I-80 bridge and also above the Green River Gage. The total market-
able yield is estimated at 281,000 acre-feet.

Frojections were made for increased depletions as a part of the Sublette
Project Investigations and reported in the advance draft of the Status Report
dated July 1977. These depletions incluc.ed municipal, industrial, and fish
and wildlife. Figures were projected for 1985 and 2000 for a high and low
range. Using the high range figures, estimates were adjusted to 1980, 1990,
and 2030 in addition to the year 2000 as given. Until development data,

12
