The Navajo Powerplant at Page began operation in 1974,
and all units are in service. During the full calendar year of 1976, 20,000
acre-feet of water were used. The contract amount of water from Lake Powell
is expected to be fully utilized by 1980. Other M&I uses will increase so the
total Arizona apportionment of 50,000 is expected to be in use by 1980.

Colorado

Present

The estimated 1977 depletions for Colorado are based upon Type I data plus
estimated depletions for agriculture and export including the Bostwick Park
Project and Fryingpan-Arkansas Project.

Fryingpan-ArkansasProject

Present construction schedules indicate the remaining works for Fryingpan-
Arkansas Project are expected to be completed by 1980 thus adding an addi-
tional 33,000 acre-feet depleti.on for the project by export.

Ruedi Reservoir M&I

No uses are presently being made from Ruedi Reservoir M&I. Contemplated
uses are expected to begin about 1983 in conjunction with the, West Divide
Project. Additional uses are estimated to develop after 1990..

Animas-La Plata Proiect

A feasibility report was prepared in 1962 and the project was authorized
by P.L. 90-537, September 30, 1968. A definite plan report is scheduled
for August 1978. The feasibility plan provided for large amounts of water
for irrigation, municipal and indust~ial use and totalled 146,000 acre-feet
depletion. Present plans indicate revisions would likely increase this
depletion to about 154,100 acre-feet divided as follows: Colorado-
120,000 acre-feet--New Mexico - 34,100 acre-feet. Depletions are expected
to begin in the mid-80's.

6
