USDA should work closely <br /> <br />with Reclamation and the Fish and Wildlife Service to <br /> <br />address the fish and wildlife onfarm replacement effort in <br /> <br />the Lower Gunnison CSDA project. The Council feels that <br /> <br />prompt attention to this environmental issue is important <br /> <br />for an earl~ start in the Lower Gunnison. <br /> <br />McEl~o Creek Cnit. The Council supports assignment of <br /> <br />additional SCS technical personnel in the area to <br /> <br />coordinate the onfarm program with local landowners and <br /> <br />Reclamati8n. <br /> <br />Price-San Rafael Rivers Unit. The Council supports <br /> <br />the efforts of SCS and Reclamation in carr~ing out the <br /> <br />joint planning program and urges its continued <br /> <br />coordination. <br /> <br />Environmental Protection A~ency (EPA) <br /> <br />The Council is pleased with the renewed level of <br /> <br />support given the Forum, the Council, and the salinity <br /> <br />control program at both the regional and headquarters level <br /> <br />of EPA. <br /> <br />The Council recommends that this renewed level of <br /> <br />support be continued. <br /> <br />-17- <br /> <br />j: <br />
