The Frying Pan-Arkansas project is a multiple pu
approximately 110,000 acre-feet of Arkansas River wate
aid 322,000 acres of irrigated land, develop addition:
hydroelectric power and other benefits, and supplemer
domestic water supplies in Arkansas valley cities an
active storage capacity of 28,000 acre-feet on the Roarin
Fork river near the town of Aspen on the western slo?
3. Construction of the Frying Pan-Arkansas tunne
about six miles in length and at 10,000 feet altitude thr
the Continental Divide for diverting water collected 0
be the highest ever built by the Bureau of Reclamatior
4, On the eastern slope, three earth-fill dams, 6
