Horsetooth <br />Reservoir maximum storage is 156,700 acre-feet. Stor-age will decline to <br />about 80,000 acre-feet by the end of September. Continuous pumping to <br />Carter Lake wi 11 cont i nue through March 20 when the max imum storage <br />content will be 95,300 acre-feet, 85 percent of capacity. A total of <br />10,700 acre-feet will be released fr-om Carter Lake to Flatiron in April, <br />June, and July. This release is necessar-y to meet ir-rigation demands on <br />the Big Thompson River and the minimum inflow requirement to Horsetooth <br />Reservoir during the Pole Hi 11 maintenance and when "skim" water- diver-sions <br />ar-e at capacity. Car-ter Lake stor-age wi 11 gradually deer-ease through <br />September and end the water- year at 53,600 acre-feet, 106 percent <br />above average. <br /> <br />23 <br />
