Alternative 2 is the reeommended alternative and would produee an SPDSS that would most effeclively and etlieiently meet the majority of needs expressed by the users, · Alternative 3 would produce an SPDSS that would meet nearly all of the expressed needs of the users, The following benefils would accrue to the users from development and implementation of an SPDSS at the reeommended Allernative 2 level: I. Data . More complele and more accurale slreamtlow, diversion, transmountain diversion and reservoir data in Hydrobase whieh can be easily aecessed and viewed . Access to real-time provisional streamflow and diversion data with an upgraded administration 1001 (CWRA T) which will allow data input 10 spreadsheels . Provide ready aecess to the eurrent year's real-time data . Development of tools and procedures to allow direet entry of dala by users inlo a provisional real-time dalabase · Seven new stream gages on the South Platte and tributaries (See Table 3,1 for potential sites) · One stabilized Tated control section to replace the existing South Platle at the Julesburg gage (See Table 3,1 for potential sites) · Eight new satellile moniloring systems inslalled at key diversion points in the basin including six diversions and two transmountain diversions (See Table 3, I for potential sites) · Ability to determine calling water righlS on mainstem South Platte River and tributaries · Computer generated straight line diagrams showing loeations and distanees of the stream system and diversions . An expanded database Ihat enhanees the ability to doeument augmentation plans and instream tlow data . Distribulion and updates of the State's database, HydroBase, via compaet disc (CD) .
