It includes Wetland 3
(east bank) and Wetland C (west bank). The total area of wetlands within this reach is
9.1 acres. PiE/P and P/SS/BLD wetland communities characterize both areas.

3.10.1.4 Reach 4

Reach 4 lies between Cedar Creek and several islands associated with Wetland 7.
Wetlands 5 and 6 occur on the east bank and Wetlands D and E occur on the west bank.
Wetland 4 is associated with Cedar Creek, an east-bank tributary of the Uncompahgre
River, and is characterized as a P/SS/BLD wetland community. Wetland 5 is classified
primarily as a P/E/P type. Wetlands 6, D, and E contain both P/SS/BLD and PiE/P
wetland classifications. This reach contains approximately 57.9 acres of wetland
communities. Atypical situations occur in Wetland 6 and Wetland E which comprise
approximately 58.0 percent (33.6 acres) of the total wetland area in this reach.

3.10.1.5 Reach 5

Reach 5 includes plateaus on the west bank and extends from islands associated with
Wetland 7 to an unnamed tributary located south of Spring Creek. Wetland 7 (east bank)
and Wetland F area located in this reach for a total of 16.6 acres. Disturbed areas occur
in Wetland 7 (4.2 acres) while both Wetlands exhibit PiE/P and P/SS/BLD wetland
characteristics.

3.10.1.6 Reach 6

Reach 6 extends from an unnamed tributary at the end of Reach 5 to Spring Creek.
Wetland 8 is located along the east bank and Wetland G is along the west bank. Both
areas have P/SS/BLD and PiE/P characteristics. A small sandbar comprises less than 2
percent of Wetland 8 while an extensive wooded/riparian zone lies between the Wetland
G and agricultural fields. A total of 24.5 acres of wetlands occur within this reach.

3.10.1.7 Reach 7

Reach 7 includes Wetland 9 on the east bank and Wetland H on the west bank. It extends
from Spring Creek on the south end to the Ironstone Canal diversion site. P/E/P and
P/SS/BLD communities exist in Wetland 9 with nearly 26 percent being disturbed by
various land use practices. Wetland H consists primarily of P/SS/BLD communities with
some P/EiP communities. This reach contains 48.7 acres of wetlands.

3.1 0.1.8 Reach 8

Reach 8 extends from the Ironstone Canal to the East Canal diversion site near Olathe
and includes Wetland 10 on the east bank and'Wetland I on the west bank.
