<br />-3- <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />~ <br />C) <br />~ <br />~ <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Senate, the House of <br />Representatives concurring therein, that a joint <br />committee on wetlands be created, to be composed of <br />five members of the Senate to be appointed by the <br />President Pro Tem, and five members of the House of <br />Representatives to be appointed by the Speaker, with <br />not more than three from each house being members of <br />the same political party; and <br /> <br />r.~ <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that each department of state <br />government and each division thereof including those <br />with constitutional responsibility for fish, forestry <br />and wildlife resources, but not including those with <br />constitutional responsibility for the development and <br />maintenance of the state road system be specifically <br />requested to cooperative with this committee and to <br />provide any information including semiannual wetland <br />status reports or proposed preservation, restoration, <br />or regUlation relative to its work which it may desire; <br />and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the committee be <br />authorized to conduct studies and investigation during <br />the interim following the first regular session of the <br />Eighty-Sixth General Assembly, and if necessary in its <br />judgement, to continue such studies following the <br />Second Regular Session so that it may present a final <br />report to its activities and recommendations therefore <br />to the General Assembly and Governor in January 1992, <br />or alternatively, to present an interim report at that <br />time with its final report to be presented in January <br />1993; and <br /> <br />< <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the committee be <br />authorized to hold hearings and investigations within <br />the state as it deems advisable, with members of the <br />committee to receive only reimbursement for their <br />actual and necessary expenses incurred in the course of <br />this committee service from the contingent funds of <br />their respective houses; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that usual and ordinary staff <br />members of agencies of the two houses of the General <br />Assembly be utilized to provide necessary clerical, <br />research, fiscal and legal services for this committee, <br />with travel experises for those persons to be paid from <br />appropriations made for their respective agencies." <br />
