BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Senate, the House of
Representatives concurring therein, that a joint
committee on wetlands be created, to be composed of
five members of the Senate to be appointed by the
President Pro Tem, and five members of the House of
Representatives to be appointed by the Speaker, with
not more than three from each house being members of
the same political party; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that each department of state
government and each division thereof including those
with constitutional responsibility for fish, forestry
and wildlife resources, but not including those with
constitutional responsibility for the development and
maintenance of the state road system be specifically
requested to cooperative with this committee and to
provide any information including semiannual wetland
status reports or proposed preservation, restoration,
or regUlation relative to its work which it may desire;
and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the committee be
authorized to conduct studies and investigation during
the interim following the first regular session of the
Eighty-Sixth General Assembly, and if necessary in its
judgement, to continue such studies following the
Second Regular Session so that it may present a final
report to its activities and recommendations therefore
to the General Assembly and Governor in January 1992,
or alternatively, to present an interim report at that
time with its final report to be presented in January
1993; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the committee be
authorized to hold hearings and investigations within
the state as it deems advisable, with members of the
committee to receive only reimbursement for their
actual and necessary expenses incurred in the course of
this committee service from the contingent funds of
their respective houses; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that usual and ordinary staff
members of agencies of the two houses of the General
Assembly be utilized to provide necessary clerical,
research, fiscal and legal services for this committee,
with travel experises for those persons to be paid from
appropriations made for their respective agencies."
