Cooperative Studies and Activities <br /> <br />(a) Article VIII G (I) of the Arkansas River Compact require; <br />the Administration to cooperate \virh the Chief Official of <br />each of the States of Colorado and Kansas charged with the <br />Cldministration of water rights in their respective State5, and <br />with the Fcdrral ;1gcncics in systematically determining and <br />correlating the facts pcrt:tining to the flow and diversion of <br />the waters of the Arkansas River and to the operation and <br />siltation of John Martin Reservoir and other related structures. <br />Article VIII G (2) requests the Director of the United States <br />Geological Survey, the Commissioner of the United States Bu- <br />reau of Rcclamation. and the Chief of Engineers, United States <br />Army, to cooperate and collaborate with the Administration <br />and with appropriate State officials in such determinations and <br /> <br />8 <br />
