(A,' <br />!-" <br />\:.11 <br />c.o <br /> <br />5.3.1 U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service <br /> <br />The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 2 and 6, will provide $ in <br />in-kind funding for the Recovery Program Coordinator and a senior-level <br />biologist familiar with Colorado River fishes to review the technical aspects <br />of research and recovery activities, and to ensure that these activities are <br />carried out in a scientifically sound manner. The Service will provide <br />support staff and expenses for the Program Coordinator and senior biologist. <br />In addition, the Service will provide $ per year in Section 6 matching <br />funds to support recovery activities. These funds will be allocated to the <br />States of New Mexico, Colorado and Utah. The total estimated cost to FWS is <br />$ per year. <br /> <br />5.3.2 U.S. Bureau of Reclamation <br /> <br />The Upper Colorado region of the Bureau of Reclamation has provided funds for <br />studies to define habitat use and inventory endangered fishes in the San Juan <br />River Basin. The Bureau has agreed to fund research activities associated <br />with the Recovery Program as part of the Animas-La Plata Section 7 <br />Consultation for a seven-year period. Total annual costs to BR including in- <br />kind services is $ <br /> <br />5.3.3 U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs <br /> <br />The U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs will coordinate Recovery Program activities <br />involving the four tribes that are participating in the Recovery Program, <br />including protection of storage releases for the benefit of rare fishes by the <br />four tribes involved. In addition, the Bureau will participate in the <br />Oversight Committee and Biology Committee. The estimated contribution by the <br />Bureau of Indian Affairs, including in-kind services, is $ per year. <br /> <br />5.3.4 State of New Mexico <br /> <br />The State of New Mexico will participate in the Oversight and Biology <br />Committees, and the estimated annual cost of this contribution including <br /> <br />43 <br />
