These <br />features vere completed and placed in operation on ~my 18, 1943. <br />This ....as followed by cOI:1pletion of the Alva B. Adams Tunnel and. <br />Shado.... Mountain Dam. Construction of GrBIlby Dam and Dikes, started <br />in 1942 but stopped for the duration of the war, has been completed <br />and the contract for construction of the Granby Pumping Plant, <br />a....arded in 1947, is nearing completion. The 2.2-mile Granby CB.IlB.l <br />has been completed. Work on Colorado River ImproveIl'Wnts has been <br />carried on concurrently ....ith other Western Slope features. <br /> <br />On the Eastern Slope, aqueduct features betveen the Alva B. <br />Adams Tunnel and Lake Estes have been completed and the construc- <br />tion of ~~ys Lake and Estes Po....er Plants is nearing completion. <br />Lake Estes and Olympus Dam on the Big TIlampson River ....ere completed <br />in 1949 and construction of Olympus Siphon and the Olympus and Pole <br />Hill Tunnels is in progress. Horsetooth Reservoir and Dams end <br />four tunnels for the Rorsetooth Feeder Canal have been campleted. <br />Construction is also under way on canal sections linking the <br />tUlUlels, on the Horsetooth Suppl:,." Conduit, and on the Poudre Supply <br />Canal. Construction of the Carter Lake Pressure Tunnel and Carter <br />Lake Dams Nos. 1, 2, and 3 is scheduled to start in 1950. <br /> <br />h <br />
