I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
J

000859

D - WATER EEQUIREMENT

Based on the individual area studies as described herein,
water requirement should be determined in accordance with the
following:

Suburban Residential Users

5,500 gallons per month

Fruit Producing Agricultural Areas 8,000 gallons per month

General Farming Areas

8,000 gallons per month

As mentioned under existing systems, it must be concluded
that the majority of the potential individual users who are
presently under contract are those with the greatest need.
This is particularly true in the agricultural areas. Conse-
quently, the effect of small users in reducing the rate of
consumption will be relatively small. The above suggested
water use requirements have been adjusted to allow for reason-
able contingencies. However, the steady increase in use, as
indicated by such old water companies as the Fruitridge Water
Supply Company, indicates that average requirements will not
decline. Most of the other companies used in this study, are
relatively new and, although use is expected to increase,
records are not sufficiently complete to verify this.

In determining the initial water requirement for the Ute
District, certain actions affecting this requirement are
expected before the system goes into operation. These include
the following:

Bulk Users

Contract with First Fruitridge
Pipeline Company

New Taps on Systems Under
Contract

- 100 users by 1964

Total Additional Bulk Users

- 150 users by 1964
250

- 24 -

, i

. ~,""'.
