Using the mouse, position the cursor just outside the border of the field you are splitting and press <br />the left mouse button once. This positions one end of the line used to split the polygon. <br /> <br />4. Using the mouse, move the cursor to the next vertex, and so on, until a line is created. <br /> <br />5, Next, position the cursor outside the border of the field you are splitting, Double-click on the left <br />mouse button to end the line. <br /> <br />6. The field will now be split into two pieces, You can reassign owner names or crop types as <br />necessary, <br /> <br />Note - f!'You do not position the cursor outside the border of the field you are splitting, thef1eld will <br />not split or it may split incorrectly. Positioning the cursor outside the border does not offect <br />surrounding fields. <br /> <br />6.2.2 Ril!ht Mouse Button Menu for Snittinl! Delete Last Point - This option is displayed before the end point of the line is selected. It will delete <br />the last point specified and allow you to continueidrawing the line. <br /> <br />2. Undo Feature Edit - This option will undo all the feature edits that have been done since the Crop <br />Edit option was selected, <br /> <br />3. Redo Feature Edit - This option will redo the undo option. <br /> <br />4. General and Interactive Snanpinl! - These attributes can be set for the map theme you are working <br />on, if you have snapping (arc, node) settings for the map you can either use the general selection to <br />snap to the closest vertex Within a specified tolerance or you can use the interactive snapping mode <br />to select each snapping rule as you specify a vertex. <br /> <br />5. Clear Selection - This option clears the last selection of a field, additional selections can be made <br />with the Select tool. <br /> <br />6. Zoom In and Out - These options work the same as the zoom options a:a in the main <br />ArcView menu. <br />
