The project <br />would include levees, nine channel cutoffs and enlargement of the existing channel. <br /> <br />Current status <br /> <br />General design memorandum studies are completed but further study has been deferred at the <br />request of I Dca I interests. I f no change in I Dca I interest is noted ~Ii th i n five years of <br />January I, 1967, renewal of the project wi 1 I mean a repeat of al I planning steps necessary for <br />new project planning. Proposed project costs total $266,500 based on 1965 costs. The federal <br />share would be $213,000 with non-federal share being $53,500. <br /> <br />GILES CREEK - TILDEN, NEBRASKA" <br /> <br />Local Flood Protection Proiect <br /> <br />This potential project would provide flood protection for the town of Ti Iden and the area <br />downstream along Gi les Creek to the Elkhorn. The project would include a levee, diversion <br />channel and floodway, and concrete spi I lway to reduce destructive water velocities. <br /> <br />Current Status <br /> <br />Further study has been deferred at the request of local interests. Cost of this proposed <br />project would total $647,000 based on 1965 costs.
