A

pro~ram was initiated by the CWCR to study this relationship of the

sediment concentration and load downstream from the dam before,

during, and after a release from the reservoir. In order to obtain

adequate data to evaluate the questions being raised the following

work schedule is proposed.

1. Sediment and streamfloH data will be required at the

following sites.

a. Purgatoire River near Las Animas
b.
