<br />Most of the watershed above the study area is controlled by BLM and the <br />Forest Service.' Any work done will have to be done by the BLM and Forest <br />Service, <br /> <br />VI I. ARRANGEMENTS FOR COORDINATION <br /> <br />The USDA study will be under the direction of M. D. 8urdick, SCS State <br />Conservationist: He is responsible for execution of the study elements <br />and coordination with other ongoing efforts. He will be responsible for <br />the conclusions and recommendations resulting from the study and for <br />full discussion with the farmers, local organizations, and other public <br />or private groups with an interest in sal inity control for the Upper <br />Colorado River Basin. <br /> <br />A coordinating committee under the leadership of the Bureau of Reclamiltio" <br />will be established for coordinating salinity control studies in the <br />Lower Gunnison Basin. The following agencies will be represented on <br />this committee: Soil Conservation Service, Forest Service, Agricultural <br />Research Service, Colorado State University, Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board, The Bureau of Land Management, the Uncompahgre Valley Water Users <br />Association, ana other water user group representatives. <br /> <br />VI I I. ADMINISTRATION OF SURVEY <br /> <br />The investigations will be administered by the Soil Conservation Service <br />assisting the Delta County Soil Conservation Distirct and the Shavano <br />Soil Conservation District (Montrose and Ouray Counties), in cooperation <br />with the other state and federal agencies, the Uncompahgre Val ley Water <br />Users Association, and other water user groups. . <br /> <br />Description of Work Items <br /> <br />I. On this project, close working relations will need to be maintained <br />with the Uncompahgre Valley Water Users' Association, Bureau of <br />Reclamation and other water users. The State of Colorado and the <br />Agriculture Research Service will be involved and, to a lesser <br />extent, the Bureau of Land Management. <br /> <br />2.
