The large well produclion capacity of72,533 acre-feet per year exists because each of
these districts has developed the well infrastructure necessary to meet its high season peaks. If a
storage site were available to meet those peaks, then the existing well field capacity could be
made available to meet approximately two-thirds of the required pumping rate under this
scenano.

This then would require an additional 28,000 acre-feet of well capacity to meet the peak
annual demand,

Water from the Centennial Water and Sanilation District, the Willows Water District, the
Castle Pines Metropolitan District, and Castle Pines North Metropolitan District and from
portions of Castle Rock can be collected and transported to a water storage site located in
Highlands Ranch, south of the urbanized area as shown on Figure 9, From this location supplies
can be treated at a treatment plant adjacent to the reservoir or could potentially utilize the
existing Highlands Ranch Water Treatment Plant.

Similarly, a collection system can be developed for the Inverness Water and Sanitation
District, the Meridian Metropolitan District (collection system already exists), the Arapahoe
Water and Sanitation District, the Parker Water and Sanitation District, the Lincoln Park
Metropolitan District, the Pinery Water and Sanitation District, the East Cherry Creek Valley
Water and Sanitation District, and portions of Castle Rock with deliveries to a water storage site
