The- <br />individual checks were examined for amount. signat~rc and endorse- <br />ment. Amounts 50 expended were substantiated by verification to payee's <br />statements, authorization of payment as evidenced in minutes of the <br />Compact's meetings, or other supporting evidence. <br />Consistent with prior years practices, the Secreta.ry's salary for the <br />current year of $1.200,00 has been reduced by the Old.Age and Sur- <br />vivor's fnsurance deductions amounting to $24.00 or 2 % of the gro5S <br />amount. This $24.00 figure together with the Administration's COIl- <br />tribution of Eke amount are shown under the cbssificat10n of t;rxes on <br />Schedule L <br /> <br />" <br />
