Analysis of the collected <br />data is underway. The USDA report is scheduled for completion in December <br />1981. <br /> <br />DESCRIPTION: The Arkansas River Basin Study, Colorado, comprises 28,415 square <br />miles. The study consists of four major components; irrigation systems <br />improvements, critical erosion areas, M&I water supply, and increased water <br />supply. Problems and needs were determined on 114 irrigation systems. <br />Possible improvements were identified for over 30 systems. Critical water <br />erosion was identified in 32 areas. Alt.ernative treatment plans were dev- <br />eloped for each area. The M&I water needs were determined for all towns <br />under 5,000 population in the basin.
