In addition, a closer examination <br />of ownerships and existing irrigation ditches indicated the necessity <br />of acquiring certain other lands to avoid undue severance damages. <br />Y Lands to be acquired specifically for the purposes cited. In <br />addition, that part of the 34,445 acres to be acquired for the <br />dam and reservoir which is not retained by the Bureau for <br />operations purposes will be administered by the State of Colorado <br />for recreation and fish and wildlife purposes under terms of an <br />overall management and development plan. <br />~ Lands within public domain presently lying beneath normal water <br />surface of Jackson Lake. <br /> <br />COSTS AND APPROPRIATIONS <br /> <br />Project Appropriation Ceiling <br /> <br />Public Law 9l-3E9 authorized the appropriation of $6B,050,000 for <br />project construction of the Narrows Unit plus or minus such amounts as <br />may be justified by reason of ordinary fluctuation in construction <br />costs as indicated by engineering cost indexes.
