Secretary - <br /> <br />Mr. Wright Hiatt <br />Mr. Norman A. Matthias <br />Mr. Carter Harrison <br />Mrs. Juanita Rogers <br />Mrs. Lynn Weber <br /> <br />EMPLOYMENT <br /> <br />Mr. Wright Hiatt was selected to fill the position of Executive Director <br />on January 17, 1966, and reported to Chairman Holmer in Salem, <br />Oregon, on February 1, 1966. He proceeded to Portland, where office <br />space in the Portland International Airport Terminal Building (Room <br />410) had been rented and furnished by Chairman Holmer, He employed <br />Mrs. Juanita Rogers as secretary on February 7, 1966. Mr. Norman A. <br />Matthias was employed, effective May 9, 1966, to fill the position. of <br />Executive Engineer. Mr. Carter Harrison was employed as Economic <br />Analyst and joined the staff on July 15, 1966. Mrs. Lynn Weber was <br />employed as secretary on May 23, 1966. <br /> <br />ACTIVITIES <br /> <br />During the period February 1966 through July 1966, the staff was <br />formed and set to work on the three concurrent efforts assigned in <br />the "Program for Action" (Annex 3). <br /> <br />A first staff draft of statements of criteria, standards and assump- <br />tions to be applied by the Council in arriving at its recommendations <br />to the Governors, was submitted at the Seattle Council meeting in <br /> <br />- 10 - <br /> <br />. ~:. . <br />
