<br />The Coord:inat:ing Committee has been functioning for several years through
<br />
<br />periodic meetings and individual contacts to provide guidance to the Reservoir
<br />
<br />Control Cen'Ger in operation of the main stem system. It assists in formulat:ing
<br />
<br />plans for reservoir operations and agrees upon specific annual operat:ing plans.
<br />
<br />Its meetings usually are held :in April to outl:ine criteria and objectives, fol-
<br />
<br />lowed by an August or September meet:ing to reach agreement on a finalized pro-
<br />
<br />gram of operation for the year ahead.
<br />
<br />Pafford said the Committee will welcome all constructive suggestions as to
<br />
<br />the best methods of operat:ing the reservoirs :in order to provide the most effi-
<br />
<br />cient use of this large storage system with:in the fundamental guides for this
<br />
<br />operation established by the Congress.
