<br />co;; 'J1 1 <br /> <br />in Nebraska law, the better the state position will <br />be when limited water supplies are divided up <br />among states, <br /> <br />STUDY #6: <br />MUNICIPAL WATER NEEDS <br /> <br />No significant relationships have been identi- <br />fied between this study and the Municipal Waler <br />Needs Study beyond the general issues of <br />quality and Quantity discussed earlier in this <br />chapter. <br /> <br />STUDY #7: <br />SUPPLEMENTAL WATER SUPPLIES <br /> <br />The Supplemental Waler Supplies Study will <br />outline ways Nebraska can make use of its avail- <br />able waters. One of the best ways to build a <br />favorable position for purposes of interstate allo- <br />cations is to make beneficial use of as much <br />water as possible. Alternative #8 in this report <br />(additional water project financing) is particularly <br />pertinent. Alternatives #9 and # 10 in this report <br />are also of significance because they suggest <br />ways to obtain supplemental water for use in <br />Nebraska. <br /> <br />STUDY #8: <br />INTER8ASIN TRANSFER STUDY <br /> <br />The Jnterbasin Transfer Study is no longer <br />scheduled to be conducted as a part of the State <br />Water Planning and Review Process. Therefore. <br />no attempt has been made to identify possible <br />relationships with this study. <br /> <br />STUDY #9: <br />WEATHER MODIFICATION <br /> <br />The Weather Modification Study has also been <br />cancelled. but portions of that issue are address- <br />ed in this report in Alternatives # 11 and # 12. <br />Those alternatives are restricted to the interstate <br />aspects of weather modification and do not at. <br />tempt to consider changes in internal Nebraska <br />pOlicy in that regard. <br /> <br />STUDY #10: <br />WATER-ENERGY <br /> <br />STUDY #11 : <br />SURFACE. GROUNDWATER <br />INTEGRATION <br /> <br />These two studies are identified and discussed <br />in the September 15. 1982 Annual Report and <br />Plan of Work. The scope of these studies has not <br />been well defined at this time and no attempt has <br />been made to identify possible relationshipswith <br />this study. <br /> <br />4.3 <br />
