Western Slone <br /> <br />Becauee of the importance of providing sufficient water for the <br /> <br />full development of the Western SlOpe before diversion of the unused <br /> <br />water supplies outside the Colorado River Basin, nearly all the land <br /> <br />on the Colorado River and its tributaries has been classified to show <br /> <br />the location and extent of irrigated lands and of lands capable of <br /> <br />irrigation by various offices of the Bureau of Reclamation. Although <br /> <br />the Pueblo field office has not participated in the actual classifica.- <br /> <br />t10n of lands on the Western Slope, the r~sults as they affect the water <br /> <br />supply available for diversion are included in this report. <br />Ii t I ,. {, - <br />The present i!"rigated area abo've the,Utah State line docs not limit <br /> <br />the diversion possible at the loce.tion chosen.
