Convert the StateMod Model and GUI developed in Phase II to run on a <br />personal computer under Windows 95. <br /> <br />IlIlrOt/uclioll The water resource planning model St3Iei\'10d. currently operates on a <br />workstation in two modes: from a command line and ti'om a graphical user interface. The <br />StateMod model runs on a PC in DOS from the command line. The StateMod GUl does <br />not currently run on a PC although it was developed using a portable GUI builder called <br />XVT. The plotting package used in the existing StateMod GUI. called XMGR, is not <br />available on a PC <br /> <br />Approach: <br /> <br />24.1. Convert GUI Convert the StateMod GUI to operate from Windows 95 on a PC <br />Use the portable GUI builder XVT. Replace the plotting package. XMGR, with a <br />plotting package identified by the State. The StateMod GUI will provide the same <br />functionality currently available on a workstation. <br /> <br />24.2. Evaluate Performance Evaluate the StateMod GLiI performance and recommend <br />enhancements. This task will be performed by comparing execution times from a PC <br />with and without the GUI using both the White and Colorado River Basin as <br />examples. Potential recommendations that are curremly en\'isioned include but are <br />not limited to presentation of the output request file and an alternative method of <br />storing time series. The recommendation should include consideration of maimaining <br />or potentially updating the StateMod GUi version that currently operates on a <br />workstation. <br /> <br />24.3. Enhancements Implement enhancements. If mutually agreed upon by the State <br />and the Consultant in writing, implement miscellaneous enhancements recommended <br />above. <br /> <br />Deliverables: <br /> <br />L StateMod GUl operational on Windows 95.
