Max:i.= disoharge in 1921 apprOXimated 1,000.000 aore-feet. and <br /> <br />a minimum was reaohed in 1934 of 81,000 aore-feet. Greatest reoorded stonn <br /> <br />was that of June 2-6. 1921, whioh centered near and caused the Pueblo Flood. <br /> <br />Its peak disoharge at Caddoa is estimated to have been 170,000 c.f.s., and <br />ita runoff 555,400 aore-feet. <br /> <br />- - - -. -- <br />------==--------- <br /> <br />-------- <br />---- <br /> <br />:floodplain), and with lOw dikes - at eaoh end conneoting with high groUIld, <br /> <br />inoreasing the overall length to about 3 miles. Its. orest, at elevation <br /> <br />3880, will be about 120 feet above the present valley floor. The spillway, <br />with orest elevation 3840. will be founded on rook at about elevation 3730. <br /> <br />Control gates for flood oontrol, low water regulation, and stream flow <br /> <br />conservation, will be provided in the spillway seotion. <br /> <br />9. CADDOA RESERVOIR:- The reservoir at maximum pool (elevation 3870) <br /> <br />will be 14.2 miles lang, average width 1.9 miles, surfaoe area 27.5 square <br />miles. and capaoity 655,000 aore-feet. The oonservation pool (elevation <br />3851)11.8 miles lang, 1.5 miles in average width, and oapacity 385,000 aore- <br /> <br />reet. is a.llooated to oonservation storage. The oapaoi ty above the conser- <br /> <br />vatian pool, between elevations 3851 and 3870, will be reserved for flood <br /> <br />control. <br /> <br />-7- <br />
