Municipal/Industrial Water Sales on Demand With a

Single Fill Limitation on Ruedi Reservoir

This alternative is identical to the third alternative (Section 2.1.3),

except'that a single fill restriction has been imposed. A second fill right

is assumed not to be in effect. The maximum level of water sales which could

be achieved under this alternative is 50,000 acre-feet per year. Figure 2.5

shows typical charts of reservoir levels and instream flows in the Fryingpan

River below Rocky Fork for dry, average and wet years. The following is the

monthly distribution of water sales:

October, 3,900 acre-feet
November, 3,700 acre-feet
De cember , 3,800 acre-feet
January, 3,800 acre-.feet
February, 3,500 acre-feet '.-'
March, 3,800 acre-feet
April, 3,900 acre-feet
May, 4,500 acre-feet
June, 4,700 acre-feet
July, 5,100 acre-feet
August, 5,000 acre-feet
September, 4,300 acre-feet

2.1.6 Alternative 6. Municipal/Industrial Water Sales Minimizing Risk
to Fish, Wildlife and Recreation

This alternative provides for M&I water sales which minimize risk to

instream and recreation values. The level of risk to instream and recreation

.

uses is in accordance with the hydrology of the Fryingpan River basin (see

Section 4.1.1 for a more detailed discussion of this risk). A sales on demand

delivery schedule was used to achieve the objectives under this alternative

(see the discussion in Section 4.1.1 and Figure 4.1). The maximum level of

water sales which could be achieved under this alternative is 45,000 acre-feet

per year. Figure 2.6 shows charts of the reservoir levels and instream flows

in the Fryingpan River below Rocky Fork for dry, average and wet years. The

monthly distribution of water demand is as follows:

Oc tober,
November,
December,

3,500
3,300
3,500
