<br />The Colorado River Storage Project (CRSP)
<br />is a basinwide program of development
<br />and use of water resources of the Upper
<br />Colorado River, and is one of the most
<br />complex and extensive river resources
<br />developments in the world,
<br />
<br />It takes in the drainage area 01 the Upper
<br />Colorado River Basin, encompassing parts
<br />of Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and
<br />New Mexico - about one-fwelfth of the
<br />continental area of the United States,
<br />CRSP storage units (Glen Canyon Dam,
<br />Flaming Gorge Dam, Navajo Dam, and the
<br />Wayne N, Aspinall Unit dams) equalize the
<br />erratic flows of the Colorado River and its
<br />main tributaries so that water delivery
<br />commitments to the Lower Basin Sfates -
<br />California, Arizona, and Nevada - can be
<br />met even in years of low flow,
<br />
<br />The remaining water In the Upper Basin
<br />can then serve the needs of farmers,
<br />municipalities and industries, Delivery 01
<br />this water to consumers is accomplished
<br />through the participating projects,
<br />
