Recently the Colorado River Water Conservation <br />District and the Great Northern Water Conservancy District notified <br />the Bureau of Reclamation they would have funds available sometime <br />after January 1969 to transfer to the Bureau for use in expediting <br />the Lower Yampa Project studies. <br /> <br />Advance Planning <br /> <br />Preconstruct ion activities on the Fruitland Mesa Project <br />near Hotchkiss are progressing satisfactorily. A draft of the re- <br />payment contract has been approved for negotiations with the Fruit- <br />land Mesa Water Conservancy District.
