Recently the Colorado River Water Conservation <br />District and the Great Northern Water Conservancy District notified <br />the Bureau of Reclamation they would have funds available sometime <br />after January 1969 to transfer to the Bureau for use in expediting <br />the Lower Yampa Project studies. <br /> <br />Advance Planning <br /> <br />Preconstruct ion activities on the Fruitland Mesa Project <br />near Hotchkiss are progressing satisfactorily. A draft of the re- <br />payment contract has been approved for negotiations with the Fruit- <br />land Mesa Water Conservancy District. These negotiations are under- <br />way. <br /> <br />Advance planning activities on the Savery-Pot Hook Project <br />near Craig are well advanced or completed in various areas of study. <br />The definite plan report is scheduled to be completed in the fall <br />of 1970. <br /> <br />CWCB/LDM/mm - 12/4/68 <br /> <br />-3- <br />
